Ron Longe is the founder and principal of Ron Longe Public Relations, a boutique PR agency. With more than 25 years of experience, he has worked in management roles in the publicity departments at Viking Penguin, HarperCollins, St. Martin’s Press, Routledge, Harry N. Abrams, and Workman, and was the executive account director for six years at Media Masters Publicity, a literary PR firm.
For the past fifteen years, Ron has specialized in food and lifestyle publicity, and has worked with such notable names as: Alton Brown, Ming Tsai, Steven Raichlen, Rick Bayless, Eric Ripert, Alain Ducasse, Sheila Lukins, Darina Allen, Jamie Deen, Arthur Schwartz, Heather Christo, Marian McEvoy, Rachel Ashwell, India Hicks, Charlotte Moss, Bunny Williams, Jeffrey Bilhuber, Deborah Berke, DeJuan Stroud, and Barbara Damrosch.
Ron is an executive board member of Children of Bellevue, which raises money for Bellevue Hospital’s pediatric programs, as well as co-chair of its annual fundraiser “Toast to the Children,” hosted by Tom Colicchio. He is also on the gala planning committee for Friends of the Children New York's "An Evening with Friends" and served as co-chair for three consecutive years for the YWCA of the City of New York's "Summer Soiree".
Ron is also a 500-hour certified yoga teacher. He lives in New York City with his partner, Jerome, and their two cats.
